Frequently asked questions

What's included in the Blueprint?+
Blueprint is a one-time comprehensive brain health assessment that includes 50+ blood biomarkers, a digital cognitive evaluation, a 90-minute one-on-one session with a Brain Health Coach who walks you through every result, and a personalized action plan ranked by impact. You also get lifetime access to the BetterBrain app, including your personalized dashboard, brain health resources, and 24/7 access to BeBe, our AI brain health coach.
How much does it cost?+
Blueprint is $89 with insurance for most plans, or $399 cash pay. It's HSA and FSA eligible, and we offer payment plans at checkout. Optional add-ons like pTau-217 testing and APOE genetic testing are available for an additional cost.
Who is Blueprint for?+
Blueprint is for anyone who wants a clear, science-backed picture of their brain health and a personalized plan to act on it. It's especially valuable if you have a family history of dementia, want to be proactive about prevention, or feel like your annual physical isn't giving you the full picture. It works for people new to brain health and for people already deep in the space who want to fine-tune.
What does a typical action plan look like?+
Action plans are fully personalized to your biology, so no two look the same. Your Brain Health Coach reviews your 50+ biomarkers, cognitive results, lifestyle, history, and goals, then builds a plan ranked by impact. Recommendations typically span targeted supplementation, exercise prescriptions, sleep and stress strategies, nutrition shifts, and any medical follow-ups worth discussing with your PCP.
What happens after I purchase?+
After checkout, you'll finish a quick registration and get your lab requisition to take to any Quest location (BioReference in NY/NJ/RI). Standard results come back in about 3 business days, pTau-217 takes about 2 weeks. Once your results are in, you'll book your 90-minute session with a Brain Health Coach who reviews everything and builds your action plan. You'll also have lifetime access to the BetterBrain app, including your dashboard, brain health resources, and 24/7 access to BeBe, so you can act on and optimize your plan.
Are the appointments remote?+
Yes, all sessions are 100% remote and can be done by phone or video from anywhere. The only in-person part is your bloodwork, which you can do at a Quest location or from home with mobile phlebotomy (available in most areas).
How do I prepare for my bloodwork?+
Fast for 8 to 12 hours before your draw, and stop biotin supplements at least 72 hours beforehand if you're getting pTau-217 testing, since biotin can interfere with results. You'll receive detailed prep instructions when you purchase.
Will using Blueprint affect my annual physical or preventive care coverage?+
No. Blueprint and your annual physical are billed under completely separate parts of your insurance, so using one doesn't reduce or affect your coverage for the other.
Will I talk to a real person or just AI?+
Both. Your 90-minute session is one-on-one with a real human, a Brain Health Coach who specializes in brain health and reviews every result with you to build your personalized action plan. Between sessions, you have 24/7 access to BeBe, our AI brain health coach trained specifically on brain health science, for quick questions any time of day.
Is Blueprint covered by insurance?+
Most major insurance plans cover Blueprint, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, and Anthem. We don't currently work with Medicare, Medicaid, or Kaiser. The fastest way to check your specific plan is our 2-minute eligibility check, which verifies in real time and gives you an estimate of your cost before you commit to anything.
What if I'm not satisfied?+
Blueprint comes with a 100% money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied for any reason, including after your bloodwork has been drawn, we'll issue a full refund. Refunds typically process within two weeks.
What's the difference between Blueprint and the Coaching Program?+
Blueprint is a one-time assessment that gives you a comprehensive picture of your brain health and a personalized action plan to implement on your own. The Coaching Program is a 12-week structured program with ongoing weekly or bi-weekly sessions with a dedicated brain health coach, designed for people who want hands-on support over time. Many clients start with Blueprint and add coaching later if they want deeper, ongoing support.
