Typical neuro trials use low-dose IV or subcutaneous regimens (e.g., 40,000 IU weekly). Avoid off-label use due to clotting risk and uncertain long-term safety for brain applications.

The evidence behind Erythropoietin (EPO) Analogs

EPO and its analogs enhance oxygen delivery and have anti-apoptotic and neurotrophic properties. Animal studies show reduced neuronal death after ischemia, and small human studies suggest potential cognitive and mood improvements in TBI and depression.
